Creating the Perfect Countryside Wedding - A Styled Shoot in Lottie's Barn

Updated: May 22

We were absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to gather some wonderful suppliers together to make this styled shoot happen at Lottie’s Barn, one of seven licensed ceremony sites at The Octagon Barn.

Lottie's Barn

Lottie’s Barn, named after the owners’ daughter, is a beautifully maintained barn, seating 120 attendees for a ceremony at max capacity. It has an open-vaulted ceiling, all the original beams, and features one exposed side, allowing for natural light to fill the room superbly.

Styled Shoot

We would like to thank all the suppliers that joined us to make our vision come to life!

Jess at Jipola provided the most beautiful floristry for the occasion; specialising in dried & preserved flora, as well as mixing in fresh flowers too, Jess has an outstanding eye for detail. We love that Jipola supplies Norfolk grown & seasonal flowers, cherishing the natural beauty of what nature has to offer whilst promoting sustainability.

We’d also love to thank PROPosal Wedding Hire for supplying us with some beautiful, pre-loved props, including the tables & rugs. These were perfectly matched and complimented by Sam Race Venue Decoration's drapes. Jules and her husband make dreams come true with their flurry of decorative options for your big day, whilst maintaining a sustainable approach and reusing/repurposing where possible. At The Octagon Barn we believe that it’s important to limit your impact on the environment where possible, so we are proud to be able to promote suppliers such as Jules.

Speaking of sustainability – working on this shoot with Poppy Perspective, a sustainable handmade bridal dress supplier based in Kent, was a first for us. Designer Phiney Edmundson did a flawless job on Melissa’s dress for this shoot; from the fringe sleeves to the vintage lace, we fell in love with it! The ‘Clemmentine’ dress is currently available to view in their Kent studio in their vintage collection.

We would also like to thank Eloise Pitcher for her beautiful photography; without her this shoot wouldn’t look as amazing as it does in these photos. We cannot recommend her more! And a further thank you to Beth Denman from Social Scenes who was able to capture some beautiful clips and content throughout.

The shoot wouldn't have been possible without our wonderful couple, Melissa & Jack, who were a joy to work with! A special mention to Sophie Taylor for styling Melissa's hair perfectly, and to Kirstie Barton for her mesmerising makeup artistry.
